About Us

I am Chef-Owner of Guelph-based Orchard House Gourmet named for the very old pear orchard that once was part of the farm property we now call home.

My passion for cooking led me to culinary school where I worked under the watchful eye of a real chef in a professional kitchen instead of watching television cooking shows! Continuing my education at culinary schools such as Le Cordon Bleu in Ottawa allows me to expand my knowledge and skills while also expanding my professional network. Memberships in culinary organizations also give me a wide and varied access to chefs and food professionals from all kinds of backgrounds and areas of expertise.

I am professionally trained in proper food safety and am a certified trainer for the National Food Safety Training Program.

As the USPCA Chapter President for Ontario Southwest I have a wonderful opportunity to network with many Personal Chefs both in Canada and the States. Together we share a wealth of experience, knowledge and get involved with our communities while continually upgrading our own skills. In Spring of 2008 I joined Liaison College as a Personal Chef Instructor. I am proud to be a part of a growing network of chefs who advocate using local seasonal produce to support our community and reduce our environmental footprint. I look forward to meeting you!

Travels around North America, the UK and Singapore have given me the opportunity to experience so many culinary wonders and my hope is to bring that home to my clients.
