Personal Chef Services

Wouldn't it be wonderful to have someone to make dinner for you, to come home to delicious and healthy meals that only require a quick reheat. Sound like a great idea? Here's how it works

You'll be provided with an extensive questionnaire about food likes/dislikes, favourite kind of cuisines, allergies and any dietary challenges you may have. With that information we will visit you for a complimentary consultation where we can review all the information and from that a well-balanced, nutritional and delicious menu will be created for you. Then it's time to set your cook date.

We arrive at your home complete with fresh groceries, our professional equipment and a menu plan for 5 complete meals.

Packaging of your meals for fresh or frozen storage will be discussed prior to your cook day. All your meals will be labelled with heating instructions and dates. Frozen meals will be labelled with a 'best before' date to ensure that highest quality of taste is maintained.

We leave you with a well-stocked refrigerator and/or freezer and you come home to aromas that make you look forward to dinner time.

It can take a few cook dates to 'fine tune' the cooking of your meals so that they taste 'just right'

Cooking Classes

Do you want to learn the culinary basics, branch out in to more adventurous cuisine in the comfort of your own kitchen? Make it an individual class or invite a couple of friends to join you. We will also do cooking classes for children in your home. Whether it's teaching them about healthy snacks and meals that they can prepare or teaching your teenagers how to be more self sufficient and safe in the kitchen while making healthy meals, we'll tailor it to your needs. Interactive Parties

Looking for a unique way to host a baby shower, Children's Birthday Party, Jack & Jill party or just have friends over for an evening of fun? Let Orchard House Gourmet create a menu that will have guests eager to be 'hands on' in the prepping and cooking of their meal. Children or adults, we always have a great time in the kitchen. We'll teach you some basic food safety, mise en place, ways to prep and cook food items you've chosen for the event. Each guest will go home with their own detailed book filled with recipes, interesting tips, information about some of the party's food and hints on how to recreate all of it at home.

Parties can be based on a food theme: Italian, Thai, Spanish, Appetizers, Desserts, just to name a few. It's all customized to make it a very personal event.

Dinner Parties

No matter the occasion we're there to ensure you have a relaxed, stress-free event. Why go to a restaurant when you can have a customized dinner planned to entertain and delight your guests? All you need to do is pick the date, time and menu. We take it from there.

The day of your party we arrive with fresh groceries and our professional equipment to prepare for your event, culminating with the serving of each course with care and attention to detail.

And of course, we leave your kitchen spotless!

Cocktail Parties

A quick gathering before the theatre or social event? Don't have room to entertain a full dinner party? Orchard House Gourmet will create a perfect array of hot and cold d'oeuvres for you. We will be there to serve your guests and meet all your entertaining needs.

Tea Parties for Young & Old

Fancy hats, lacy gloves, pretty dresses and exquisite food: a beautiful Tea Party! We'll arrange everything from flowers and decorations to the food. Dainty sandwiches and cakes, a variety of teas all served in a manner to make you feel like a genteel lady for an afternoon. Little girls like to dress up too so why not make it a Mother and Daughter Tea?

Special Events

Do you have a birthday, anniversary or other special milestone event coming up? Don't worry. Let us help you celebrate. We can design a romantic dinner-for-two for that special 'date night', Sunday Brunch to celebrate an birthday, or elegant dinner for an anniversary. We'll take care of the set-up, cooking, serving and clean up for you.

Mise en Place for Dinner Parties

You love to cook but the thought of all shopping, chopping, and prepping for a dinner party makes you shiver. Let us come to the rescue! We'll first help you create a menu or work to one of your own. While you relax on the day of your party we'll bring all the groceries, do all the prep work for you and then package it with detailed instructions on how to reheat and cook each item. Your guests will marvel at what a fabulous meal you prepared for them!

Menu Planning & Shopping

You don't mind cooking dinner. It's the weekly menu planning and shopping that makes you cringe. Let us take on this time-consuming part of dinner for you. This service begins the same way as the regular Personal Chef Service, with a detailed questionnaire that will help us create your weekly or bi-weekly menus. On the specified day we'll do the shopping and then arrive at your home with all the fresh groceries needed to make those meals.

Mise en place can be an added feature if you would like us to prepare some of the fresh items to be ready for cooking. We'll put away your groceries and leave detailed cooking instructions along with the recipes.
